VDSinside.com - Ukraine - OpenVZ- 2$ /month - 300MB RAM / 3GB SSD

Disclaimer

I am in no way affiliated with VDSinside.com but I have been a customer of theirs for around 1 month. This server was benchmarked and reviewed whilst it was not in production. Therefore it should be noted that the below results are of a server currently being not used.

Introduction

VDSinside.com is offering 1 type of OpenVZ based Virtual Private Server in Ukraine. It costs just 2 USD per month and is offering:
  •     3GB SSD
  •     300MB RAM
  •     100mbit
  •     unlimited Transfer
  •     full root
I bought this server one month ago.

First Start & Support & Communication

You buy the server by their own product panel. You can only use Liqpay and Webmoney for payment. I had trouble with Liqpay, because it didn't accept my credit card so I had to use Webmoney.

I contacted the support once in order to ask for other payment methods. The response came immediately.

The connectivity is low for 100Mbit. It looks like the speed is limited to around 20Mbit down and upload.
The support answered me: "Please note that you are using free VPS server where you pay only for IP address, where bandwith is unmetered but limited."

Conclusion:

VDSinside.com is a average choice when you need something cheap in Ukraine. The CPU power is low, and 3 GB SSD could be too less for some people. You have to pay 5USD extra for TUN/TAP. The 20mbit connectivity limit isn't good as well.

The connectivity to Europe is good. My highest download speed from Sweden was around 32MB/s.

Conclusion:

The Turkish Server of Webhostportal.net is recommended for all users, who need good connectivity to Asia as well to Europe. I can recommend their service as well. I might also test other VPS of them.

Disclaimer:

I am in no way affiliated with VPSDATABASE.com but I have been a customer of theirs for around 1 month. This server was benchmarked and reviewed whilst it was not in production. Therefore it should be noted that the below results are of a server currently being not used.

Introduction:

VPSDATABASE.com is offering 4 different types of KVM and OpenVZ based Virtual Private Servers

  •     512MB RAM
  •     1Gbit
  •     100 GB transfer
  •     full root
  •     SolusVM
I bought "VPS-1" one month ago.

First Start & Support & Communication

You buy the server by the WHCMS panel. That was quite easy, I got the login information within minutes.

The Control Panel is available under : http://panel.vpsdatabase.com:5353

I contacted the support several times and the response time was good and the staff very friendly. One thing I have to mention is, that they offer no SSL Connection on their webpage, but the admin told me, they will fix this at the beginning of 2014.

You can also pay by Bitcoin.

Its for sure a 1Gbit line as you can see with the Cachefly Results (actually their server is at the same DC), but their peering doesn't seem to be the best.

Conclusion:

I like VPSDATABASE.com very much because their support was very friendly, the speed is OK and you can buy by Bitcoin. I might also test their server in USA, maybe the speed is there better.

Reg.ru - Russia - OpenVZ/XEN- starting from 2.8 € /month - 128MB RAM / 2GB HDD

Disclaimer:

I am in no way affiliated with Reg.ru but I have been a customer of theirs for around 1 month. This server was benchmarked and reviewed whilst it was not in production. Therefore it should be noted that the below results are of a server currently being not used.

Introduction:

Reg.ru is offering 5 different types of XEN and OpenVZ based Virtual
Private Servers in Russia. The cheapest server costs around 2.8 € per month and is offering:
  •     2GB HDD
  •     2 GHZ CPU
  •     128MB RAM
  •     20Mbit limited
  •     unlimited Transfer
  •     full root
  •     Reg.ru Control Panel
I bought the "XEN-2" server with 5GB HDD and 256 MB RAM one month ago.

First Start & Support & Communication

You buy the server by their own Product panel. That was quite easy, when you found the English version of the webpage.

They seem to have 24h support, I never contacted them, but expect their hotline to be in Russian language.

Their own control panel offers standard options like Reboot, Reinstall etc.

I am in no way affiliated with VPSAce.com but I have been a customer of theirs for around 1 month. This server was benchmarked and reviewed whilst it was not in production. Therefore it should be noted that the below results are of a server currently being not used.

  •     full root
  •     SolusVM
I bought this server one month ago.

First Start & Support & Communication

You buy the server by the WHCMS panel. That was quite easy, I got the login information within minutes.

I tried to contact the "Live Chat" 2 times in order to understand why the speed is even so slow within Romania. I'm still waiting for a response.

Their nodes specification: Super Nodes, 96GB RAM, 12-Core 24-Thread, SSD + SATA + RAID.

The connectivity is average. I still wonder why the upload speed is higher than the download speed. But it really doesn't look like a 1Gbit Port speed.

Conclusion:

Clues.ro is average. The prices are fair but I had expected a much higher connectivity in Romania. Maybe they just have problems with the connectivity. I contacted the support and make then another test.

The connectivity is great and for this price just awesome.

Conclusion:

I really can recommend VPSAce.com. They offer good price VPSs in Buffalo, Chicago, Los Angeles and Netherlands. Very good when you need a lot of speed.

Gohost.kz - Kasachstan - XEN- starting from 9.45 € / month - 256MB RAM / 4GB HDD

Disclaimer:

I am in no way affiliated with Gohost.kz but I have been a customer of theirs for around 1 month. This server was benchmarked and reviewed whilst it was not in production. Therefore it should be noted that the below results are of a server currently being not used.

Introduction:

Gohost.kz is offering 4 different types of XEN based Virtual Private Servers in Kazachstan.
The cheapest server "№1" costs 9.45  € per month and is offering:
  •     4 GB HDD
  •     256MB RAM
  •     100Mbit
  •     unlimited transfer
  •     full root
  •     SolusVM
I bought the server "№1" server.

First of all: If you don't know how to use Google Translate or you are not able to understand Russian, then I would not recommend this service.

First Start & Support & Communication

You buy the server by the WHCMS panel. Use Google Translate to input the correct personal information. You can pay by Credit Card as a European or American client. I don't remember which distributions they offer, I guess all standard. You can change it at any time at their SolusVM interface at https://95.57.120.200:5656/

I spoke with the support by ICQ before I bought the server, they had no problem to understand English and could give me correct infos.

The Port speed is 100Mbit, but you get only average results outside of Kazakhstan.

Conclusion:

Well, you can't expect a lot of speed in Kazakhstan, around 50Mbit is still ok in my opinion. If you need some "offshore" VPS, then Gohost.kz is a good choice for you.
